Thing # 3

Creating my own blog for the first time was really fun! I was most consumed with creating a witty title as you are not allowed to change it after you decide. Thankfully Mr. Deaton was helping me today! Then of course I got sucked into all the different colors, TGISummer. The avatar part gave me the most trouble, when trying to export it back into my blog page it was coming up with an X in the box instead of showing the picture, I decided to download it instead and post it in a "picture gadget" on my blog, this worked. There is one problem averted! I am already learning so much, perhaps I should become a web-guru...tehehehe!

Thing # 2

My dad has already shared with me Covey's 7 1/2 Habits of Highly Effective people. The easiest part for me will be setting the goal--I have lots of goals and dreams that I want to accomplish in my teaching career. (# 1--grad school!). The hardest task for me will be to view problems as challenges rather than road blocks. Hopefully I will be able to work thru any problems with 23 things and over come these!! Thank goodness I have until August 10th.

Thing # 1

I am excited about 23 Things for WEB 2.0, hopefully it will allow me to integrate new parts of technologies to my first graders! I am familiar with a few of the tasks, such as smile box, eduphoria!, and a few others. I have never blogged before but a ton of my friends have one so I am interested to see if I will create one for my personal life to stay in contact with family/friends. Here we go!

Now Wait Just a Clock Tick

Still traveling by Bubble from last weekend's girls Wicked Trip, we had a wonderful time and I have come to realize I am much better at laying out then participating in pool side games such as Apples to Apples. Mom and I spent Friday at the pool, then headed to a nail salon where we scored $44 massages, I of course spazzed at the last minute and just got a mani/pedi instead. It was really nice to have bonding time with the M-O-M, and we only managed to get lost twice! Friday night we headed for the riverwalk for appetizer's and drinks at ACENAR, Brooke got a fabulous coconut margarita, I must find a recipe! After denying the $10 cover charge for howl at the moon, we headed to "Rive"...yikes. Shady Palm Tree! Saturday we spent poolside, before 6 of us attempted to get ready in one suite, we shared everything from clothes, hair product, and Mel's assortment of 6 clutches. The amount of Vera Bradley Luggage was insane, and I was my very own bell boy!! Wicked Saturday night was AMAZING, we mixed up our seats with some teenie boopers and were on the last row, but it did not matter because the theatre was absolutely magical. I gave an encore presentation back at the hotel! It was such a wonderful weekend, we are already planning Girls Weekend 2010!! Love, GA-Linda
